Our Firm

RPA Landscape Architecture is a boutique landscape architecture studio based in San Clemente, California, led by Austin Price. We design high end residential landscapes and also deliver commercial, industrial and military projects throughout Southern California and the greater Southwest.

Our firm does it all, but our approach stays consistent. When you work with us, you work directly with Austin from first concepts through permitting and construction. You get clear decisions, responsive communication, and full attention to the details that matter. We collaborate closely with architects, engineers, builders, and municipalities to deliver landscapes that are both beautiful and buildable.

Our Design Philosophy

Great landscapes start with listening. We begin by understanding how you want to live outdoors, your aesthetics, your site constraints, and your priorities, then translate that into a cohesive design story.

Our process is intentionally simple and direct. Strong early concepts, clear graphic communication, and thoughtful technical resolution. We balance creativity with rigor so the final documents hold up in the real world during plan check, bidding, and construction while staying true to the design intent.

Innovative Environmental Solutions

We design with the Southern California climate in mind, prioritizing water wise strategies, climate appropriate plant palettes, and efficient irrigation without sacrificing a lush, elevated feel.

Solutions may include native and adapted planting, high performance irrigation layouts, hydrozone planning, soil and drainage strategies, stormwater sensitive design where applicable, and low maintenance details that age well. The goal is straightforward. Landscapes that look exceptional, function beautifully, and perform responsibly over time.
